According to the Financial News Agency, Huawei LCD TVs, which had just received 3C certification on May 29, will be available in September or October this year. There have been reports that Huawei will launch two TV models which include a 55-inch and 65-inch TV.
The company is already cooperating with TCL Group’s, Huaxing Optoelectronics, on the supply of the 65-inch TV panels. The Huaxing t6 factory is ready for stock production. The number of orders is subject to further confirmation.
According to the National Quality Certification Center, two Huawei LCD TV products have been certified on May 29th. The certified model is OSCA-550/Osca-550A, the applicant is Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and the manufacturer is Hefei. Technology Co., Ltd.
Although Huaxing Optoelectronics will take care of the 65-inch panel, the 55-inch model would be handled by BOE, the same manufacturer of the P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro screens. Among other things, BOE is currently the largest producer of TV panels, even more than Samsung and LG.
According to rumors, Huawei’s goal would be to sell 10 million Huawei LCD TVs this year. There is nothing about the peculiar characteristics of Huawei TV, even if we talk about the presence of a dual camera and support for games and social functions.
Meanwhile, did you know that OnePlus is also working on its smart TV? It appears that the smart TV market will have many phone makers in a couple of years.
