Infinix Zero 3 Review – Off To A Premium Start

Infinix Zero 3 has finally been launched. The flagship device from Infinix mobility for the year 2015/16 launched sometime around December with the usual rigmaroles and stories associated with launch events.


The Zero 3 nick-named Hero3logy took the center stage on December 15th when it went official, but didn’t start selling till late December/early January.

Anyways, let’s dig in on the Infinix Zero 3, and find out what makes it tick and if it’s a worthy buy.

Infinix Zero 3 Brief intro…

Infinix Zero 3 is the third installment in the Zero series which is also the flagship series of the Chinese OEM maker. Infinix Zero 3 like other infinix devices uses the ‘X’ system of numbering for the model numbers, it’s specific number being X552.

As expected of a flagship device, the brand new Zero 3 X552 has a few aces up it’s casing, so to speak. The device is out-rightly the best device Infinix mobility has made, which can only get better with time. The Zero 3 is a 5.5″ Full HD capactive touch-screen device protected by the highly revered Corning Gorilla Glass 3. More fascinating is the presence of 4K ultra high-definition capabilities resolution.

The display of the device is pretty cool with it’s pixel density pegged at 400PPI. The device also supports a real wide angle display up to 178°.

The key points of the Infinix Zero 3 are the processors and the cameras. The processor is the flagship Helio X10 MediaTek CPU which runs on a 8-cores and boosts performances of the device. MTK flagship platform Helio X10 is combined with Real OCTA-64-bit 2.2GHz CPU for a benchmark score of 50000+*. Now you can easily handle complex apps and still maintain smooth operation.

Equipped with the best multimedia technology, this device fully supports 120Hz display and Smart Screen. The GPU comes with Multimedia imaging for enhanced auto focus and real-time phase detection. Other features include Instant Focus, 1/16 Super Slow Motion, 480fps content creation, and H.265 Encode for up to 4K2K 30fps.

The front of the device is adorned by a 5MP front camera, which features BSI photosensitive components and 1.4um large pixel capabilities for 30% enhanced light intake.
